Terror Attacks on Mumbai- First Anniversary

Mumbai, the financial capital of India, was rocked by a horrendous series of terrorist attacks which, from beginning to end, was marked by extreme savagery on the part of the perpetrators. On November 26, 2008 the terrorists shocked not only the whole nation but had a worldwide impact. Among the eight places targeted by the terrorists, the most salient ones were Chhatrapati Shivaji terminus, Nariman House, Hotel Oberoi, and Hotel Taj Mahal. There was a stampede like situation when terrorists fired indiscriminately and hurled grenades. That the planning for 26/11 Mumbai attack started a year ago and the security agencies had evidence of it, is all the more disconcerting. Clearly, terrorism needs to stop and strict measures have to be taken to curb it!

IDEAL STUDENT

A student may secure rank in his examination. He may be good player of cricket or basketball or volleyball. He may be good at literary activities. If he is proud arrogant and naughty, then people do not pay any attention to that student. They ignore him completely. If he is police, good-natured person, all would love him very much. By the side academic education one must be fully aware of his duties and responsibilities to the others. An ideal student should be intelligent and simple. He should have the quality of ‘Simple living and high thinking’. He must be fearless and bold enough to face the trails and tribulation of life. In order to become an ideal student one must follow certain principles in life. First he must try to live in accordance with the strict rules of conduct and discipline. An ideal student will serve society. He shares the worries and problems of others and finds solutions to complicated problems of the society. He thinks that it is his sacred duty to improve the social, cultural and economic conditions of the country. He is bold and he rushes in where others fear to tread. If the student possesses the above cited qualities all-round development of the nation will take place. So an ideal student is an asset to the country.

Newspaper

Newspaper is both information and communication. It is the events of the day distilled into a few words and pictures, processed by the mechanics of communication. It satisfies the human curiosity of a world that is always eager to know what is new. The first and foremost work of a modern man is to open the door and pick up the newspaper. A cup of coffee in one hand and the paper in the other hand is the usual scene one can see in the early morning. If a person doesn’t get his paper in the morning, he will be upset. So the newspaper has become so important, and it is a part and parcel of our life and it is the life breath of a nation. The present day newspaper helps the youths by advertising the job opportunities. It is really a yeoman service to them. The history of newspaper is really a fascinating one. The earliest newspaper may have been the ancient Roman Acta Diurna (59 BC).A Chinese goldsmith by name. Pisheng was the first person who invented the method of printing. He carved letters of the alphabet on small wooden pieces and spread the ink on the letters and pressed the paper on it.
The newspaper has to play a significant role in upholding the human dignity, their rights and responsibilities, their happiness and well-being. And at the same time the newspaper has to bear the greatest responsibility of safeguarding the democratic principles. The motto of a newspaper should be the establishment of ‘Manava Dharma’ and it must act as the torch bearer.

Upcoming Field – Wireless Communication

In history we separate each era by the material they used during those era. For example Ancient era they used bronze and in medieval times they used iron. Usage of materials keeps on developing rather changing. Similar concept applies to technology too. In a particular period certain technology may develop everyone starts working on that technology, it keeps on rising and ultimately reaches its limit. 2 years back image processing and digital camera related technology was in peak and recently it reached its limit. At present the upcoming technology is wireless. All equipment is slowly being converted to wireless equipments. Wireless LAN and usage of Bluetooth and 3G technologies are tremendous. Slowly we can feel that every one is switching to wireless. Increase in number of cell phone subscribers proves this fact. If you know about these wireless protocols and you are capable of working and doing research related to this field you have a bright future! Await for an interesting invention in wireless communication.

Colors – Know them

Working with colors is the most interesting and exciting thing that keeps on fascinating me. I am writing this post to convey some basic ideas that I know about colors. Colors are one among several features that makes life interesting. From my kids age colors fascinated me and I always wanted to work in fields that deal with colors. To start working with colors you must know certain basic details like how the computer or any equipment displays the color? And how they take the color as? As you all know computer deals with only machine language which consist of zeros and ones. There are millions of colors available in this world. The most basic and primary colors are red, green and blue. RGB is known as primary colors because by mixing them in certain combinations you can get any other color you want to. In machine world we define 3 two dimensional matrix, each matrix represents the primary colors. When you take a picture it consist of several pixels and each pixel’s intensities are specified by the intensities of red green and blue matrix, therefore for each pixel RGB values are specified inside the red green and blue matrix. Usually we specify values in 8 bits which ranges from 0 to 255. By analyzing each and every bit you can do various operations and this is how you start your Image Processing. Hope you find this concept interesting, make use of it and enjoy working with colors.
